30 Campaigns in 30 Days: Week 2 Update

I’m a little late on this update, but as of Thursday, I had created 14 campaigns in 14 days. Most of these have been PPV campaigns that include real simple landers with very miniscule split tests. Unfortunately, not a single one of these campaigns have been profitable so I’ve been pissing money. I think my best one so far has been -50% ROI.

Having made 90% of my money the last two years from Facebook, trying to move onto other traffic sources and testing out new verticals, this has been a very trying two weeks. I was so accustomed to dating that I could turn probably 50% of my campaigns profitable within the first 24 hours. Going this long without finding a profitable campaign has been tough.

At the very least, this campaign is keeping me in check and making me create campaigns every day. I know I’ll find a campaign or two before these 30 days are up. Hopefully these campaigns show me what to do/not to do when tackling PPV traffic.

Sometimes I wonder why you even blog.

Sometimes, I wonder the same shit.

I think we would like to hope that we have learned from these unprofitable campaigns. However, the reality is, it is time and money lost.

How long are we to continue with this? I hate to be a pessimist, but finding a successful campaign is probably likely to happen. I do not think, though, that it will make up for the amount lost in discovering the campaign – taking into consideration both the testing for that offer and all offers prior to it.

The reality is, at this stage in affiliate marketing, past the ringtones and diet era, one is not going to find an “out of the ballpark,” campaign. It just isn’t going to happen.

One may get lucky and generate $10-30 net revenue a day, but it will not last, won’t scale, and mostly will just cover any losses in prior campaigns.

I hate to be a pessimist here, but just providing some realistic guidance for others out there, as well as for myself. I definitely feel it is time for me to move on and spend my time more productively.

However, it is like a relationship gone bad.. I hate to enter the working world, but affiliate marketing is for the kids.

You just aren’t going to take an affiliate offer and do a $5k media buy and be successful. The industry was not structured in that way.

good luck to everyone out there, though. if you truly have reached a decent level of success, I commend you. To others, I hope you will apologize for wasting the time of so many hopefuls.

^^^ just makes more room for the rest of us I have had a couple successful campaigns my self one was google slapped I was making 400-700 a day off that until it just stopped and then I have made a couple thousand of fanpages. You either want to make it in the industry or you just want the money associated with it, if you’re the later… well you aint gonna make it. It more than the monetary opportunity for me, it’s the challenge that comes with it.

Why did Google Slap your campaign? You were direct linking or what?

Google is a bitch sometimes. Whats up with Yahoo?

yeah I was DL the offer on google I was doing AdCenter once google rained on my parade but p202, the network report and Adcenter clicks didn’t add up so I got confused about that and it’s all on pause. FB fanpages are nice but for me they have been hit or miss, but still profitable.

Just did it today biiiiiotch!

Sounds interesting. Whats a good CPA company? I signed up with Peerfly a week ago, but there offers have a low payout and the EPC will not make any sense with PPC marketing. Email me

Let me know if you need help bro. I did PPV heavy as well when Adwords and Facebook turned me down.
