Sorry to steal some of your thunder AdHustler, but this cannot be talked about enough. You absolutely must control your destination URL. Since I do most of my advetising on social media I’ve figured out a way to always control my destination URL.
You can do this by cloaking Facebook the right way as I talked about in my previous post. If one of your offers ever goes down you can just switch out your tracking link to a new tracking link point to a different offer or the same offer on a different network. This will help tremendously if you want to use establish ads with a good CTR to test out a new offer.
I’ve also done a little customization to the Facebook cloaking script to use it on MyAds and POF so that I can always control where my user ends up.

I recently found out MySpace gave out this coupon during a webinar they had. I heard it sucked so I’m not too upset I missed out.
I logged into my account and couldn’t figure out where to enter this thing. So good luck with it.
If you guys haven’t tried out Myspace Ads, don’t. Just kidding, try it. You can target your demographic by age and sex and a multitude of interests.
You can download myspace-audience-interests that I found that shows how many people are interested in each item.
The drawbacks there is a minimum $0.25 CPC and you can only target users in the United States.
But their userbase is HUGE! There’s plenty of impressions to go around. And there’s plenty of money to be made. Plus they’re not nearly as strict as Facebook.
I spent right about $500 and made just a hair over $900 last weekend using a single ad.

After trying god knows how many campaigns over at facebook I finally found one that was profitable. I have to give a big thanks to Aequitas over at the WickedFire forums. He makes it easy for any affiliate marketer to make some money using facebook ads. He’s literally giving away gold in the Faceboook Ads post over at WickedFire. If you haven’t read it’s multitude of pages, I suggest giving it a read.
