Awhile back I blogged about attending an Oklahoma Meetup. It was a great event that was sponsored by Revenue Ads, NDemand and NDustry Clix.

While we were hanging out at Revenue Ads‘ Office, I was telling my affiliate manager that I was doing well on a very specific offer and which traffic source I was promoting it on. The offer was, as I said, very specific and you couldn’t mistake where I was running the offer at. Not to mention I specified where I was running it at. Unfortunately, the offer I was referring to died a few days before the meetup so I felt comfortable letting people know what I had already done well with. I’m always more than willing to give some affiliates a few tips.

Well I came home and was thinking about how I could get that revenue stream back open and it dawned on me… There was a generic offer that was almost the exact same, so I switched out my links to the new offer and resumed my ads. The 2nd day I ran this campaign I had my first 5-figure day. The only thing limiting me on this offer was I hit my damn spend limit at the bank which was a huge fail on my part.

So for anybody that was at the meetup and remember me talking about this, try it out! This offer is still live and I’m still running it!

P.S. I’m glad most people never take action on other people’s advice.

Okay, say I was running mid 3-figures a day to one of the most reputable networks around. Not a huge amount of traffic, but decent figures and my monthly income for February at this network ended up being in the mid 4-figure range. I’m currently on monthly net 15 with this network because I hadn’t ran any revenue for a few months. But I do have a history with this network and they know I’m a legit affiliate pushing legitimate traffic.

I emailed my affiliate manager starting on the last day of February and asked if my check could be cut the first week of the month (instead of waiting til the 15th) because I wanted to pay the IRS as soon as possible. Now, I didn’t want to be put on weeklies, I just wanted a one-time exception.

She told me she couldn’t get me paid any earlier than the 15th because I was only running minimal traffic, about $50 daily, at the time I wanted to be paid.

Was I out of line asking for a one time payment earlier than usual? Should they have paid me when I asked? Vote below!
